Jezzie's Alter Ego

Behind every great character at the Bristol Renaissance Faire, there's a dedicated actor bringing that character to life, and Jezebel Harlotte is no exception.

Julie Jester has appeared as Bristol Renaissance Faire's favorite "humanitarian" since 2003. Julie has been acting for more than 20 years and holds a BFA in Musical Theatre performance from Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio where she graduated cum laude. She has appeared locally at Apple Holler Showplace in Sturtevant, Wisconsin and at Attic Playhouse in Highwood, Illinois. Julie was an active member of the Executive Board of the Gurnee Theatre Company in Gurnee, Illinois. Julie works at Saint Paul the Apostle Church in Gurnee, Illinois as the Assistant Music Director and is the director of the Saint Paul the Apostle Recorder Ensemble. She also teaches private flute lessons and plays professionally for weddings and other events.

When first creating the character of Jezebel Harlotte, Julie realized there had to be more to Jezzie than her "profession." The end result was the creation of a comical yet sincere character who genuinely believes she has a sacred mission in life to "serve mankind" and to personally make sure that every patron who walks through the front gate feels good about themselves and has a good time while visiting her hometown of Bristol.

Julie is a non-equity actor, currently a free agent, and would welcome all serious professional inquiries, both dramatic and musical. Please note: Julie does not engage in solicitation, nor does she perform "adult entertainment." To contact Julie or to request a performance resume, click here. julie @ humanitarianofbristol.com
